Credit Counselling

Some people believe that "ignorance is bliss" when it comes to credit and finance, we do not believe that! We believe that people are human and everyone has moments in their lives when things can go wrong and mistakes are made. One of the biggest mistakes we make in our lives is living beyond our means and charging too much on credit cards. We think about the fact that we "want that" now and don't consider the long term implications of that kind of thinking. What happens next is we get in over our heads and the credit card companies kill us with higher interest rates, late fees, over the limit fees, etc. Then the day comes and we want to buy a car, house or maybe just refinance to get a lower monthly payment. That is when we realize the extent of the damage that was done to our credit and we think "I'll never be able to get a loan". We at Aloha Home Loans know how you feel, that is why we have linked to our site a credit counselor who can help you get out from under that black cloud of bad credit! Marguerite Fischer is a Certified Financial Health Counselor as well as a Credit Repair Specialist who will work with each individual to assess their credit and recommend ways to improve it. Don't let "bad credit" or even "no credit" stop you from trying to realize your dreams, talk to Marguerite and she'll help you on your way to better credit!

Junk Debt is a growing industry; some of the big financial players have thrown their hats into this ring. Junk Debt is a very lucrative business. Allow us to educate you on exactly what junk debt is, and how much money is being made on these accounts. Junk Debt companies buy old, settled or uncollectible debts from credit card companies and collection companies. Old debts are debts that are past the statute of limitations. Settled debt is the difference between what you settled an account for (example chapter 13 Bankruptcy, debt arbitration, or you made a deal for less than the balance) and what was owed. Finally, uncollectible debts are those debts that are not likely to be paid, or the original customer has moved and the company has lost track of them. When you pay up, get everything in writing. If they won’t give you a letter, DO NOT do business with them. If you really do owe, and you get a letter, and are willing to pay DO NOT give them a credit card over the phone (no matter how hard they push you). Get a CERTIFIED form of payment (money order, cashier's check etc.) and send it with signature confirmation with a copy of your letter. DO NOT let them have access to your banking information! I recommend talking to a Certified Financial Health Counselor before you pay this junk debt.

These junk debt companies purchase these debts for pennies on the dollar. Industry average (according to our research) is 4 cents on the dollar. These companies use the “squeaky wheel” technique-they call, write letters and generally harass you into paying up usually money you DO NOT OWE. There is huge money to be made by these companies. The average person does not keep great records, that’s what junk debt companies are counting on. The credit bureaus WILL NOT put junk debt on your credit report (no matter what the junk debt companies tell you over the phone). Junk Debt is the next big scam. Do not fall for it!
